HI Guys
I just bought a 98 XLT supercab and was wondering if there is a site or link that I can go to, to see the 98 brochure. I'm courious
as to what options (overhead console) were available and what some of the packages had for options.
Thanks in advance
Don
Sorry I cant help you with regards to a site that would have that info but if you post specific questions here I'm sure someone will answer them.
An XLT should have carpet, power windows and locks, cloth seats etc but I'm not sure you could get an overhead console in them. I've seen some trucks with them though but they may have been special ordered.
I'll see if I can get a Ford salesman to give you some better answers here.
Hi , My 2001 XLT has the overhead console with a compass and outside temp. It has a sunglasses holder and a garage door opener holder too.
98 may have been different though.
Jimmy
I no longer have access to a '98 brochure, but I can tell you that very little changed from '97 to '03 as far as the XLT was concerned. I think the one thing that changed every year was the standard sound system; it started with an AM/FM/cassette, and at different points it had the AM/FM/CD/cassette, then finally just the AM/FM/CD as standard. I believe all years had the overhead console with compass and thermometer (the Lariat had the trip computer as well). I hope this helps.
Thanks for your replies.
If the overhead console was an option, would the wiring be in the headliner or do they only run it if that option was ordered. I have a 91 Aerostar with the overhead console and have access to another and I was wondering if this would work for my "98 f-150.
