oil pressure

Hi all. New to fords and new to diesels. Recently bought a 99 f350 love it and it runs like a top but recently I notice that my truck has intermittent lose of oil pressure on the instrument cluster but truck never even hiccuped or lost power. First time it happened I immediately pulled over turned the truck off and checked the oil level had good oil and restarted truck with no problems and oil pressure was normal. Since then occasionally oil pressure will drop to 0 but within a minute 9r so go back to normal. Does anyone have any ideas on what to start looking at or what might be the problem. Thanks all.

If it is an electronic, vs. mechanical, pressure gauge, could it be a loose or bare wire that intermittently loses contact or due to vibration grounds itself? Just guessing -
