I have noticed this as well. I did one kit that came with a 3 hole option for the surround. I can’t remember now where I saw it. I’m guess I could go to a dealership and get a factory 3 hole surround.

So I ended up purchasing an 8” sync 3 and module off ebay. I’ve found the wire harness I need to convert over but having trouble finding the factory surround bezel, as stated I need the one with 3 holes. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I'm looking to upgrade my 4.2 inch 2019 also. Would you share what vehicle the units you bought came out of, part numbers and price paid if you don't mind. I can't seem to figure out which units, from which vehicle are compatible. Thank you.

Go on the Sonic Electronic website.
They have kits with everything you need for such a conversion.
Unless you’re planning on doing the install yourself, expect to pay close to the $1K mark to have a shop do it for you.
Just remember, you will need a dash kit, wiring harnesses, and an interface or two.
Outside of the labor, your main expense will come from the head unit you choose.
Stick with the main brands.....Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, and Sony.
All of them offer various head units with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and all of them offer mechless head units.
They have kits with everything you need for such a conversion.

There are a couple of sources that have everything you need for an OEM conversion but I’m sure you know, they’re very pricey.
