Google seeking help with Android Auto bug

I thought for sure this was going to be about the no sound issue in Android Auto. So far, AA fires up when I connect with the USB cable.
On this last trip, if I initiated or answered a call while the phone was connected to the truck with the USB plug, I couldn't hear the other person and they couldn't hear me. I think I fixed that one by connecting the phone with the cable and then going to Settings>phone>set phone ringtone>use phone ringtone.
Android Auto sure is buggy.

I came close to just using the on-board nav this past week. I thought I had downloaded Google maps on my phone, knowing ahead of time that cell service was non-existent where I was going. But it still said there was no map to display.

Mine also has no sound on either my truck or expy. To get navigation prompts I have to select Android auto as a media input in source, then the is no radio or other music. On Waze I had to go in a select "play through phone speaker" to hear prompts.

didnt work for me, still no nav prompts through sync, maybe Samsung screwed so.ething up with their version of the latest update. Neither Waze nor Google maps plays prompts anymore.
