NP435 Variations

I have a perfect NP435 in my '79 F350 shop truck that I'd like to swap with the rebuilt one I'm not happy with in my '76 high boy. they're both 2wd versions so I know that will work but will the transmissions interchange between the cast iron FE bellhousing and the aluminum 335 series ? and I assume the clutch spline is the same.

I thought one of the benefits of the 435 was the universal bolting for many different bellhousings?

Aluminum bell housing? Neat.

I have a 435 from a late 70s truck with a 351m power plant. I can measure the tranny bolt pattern if that’s of any value to you.

I'm pretty sure the manual trannies from this era (435, T18, T19) will all interchange as far as bellhousings go. I have a 435 in my 78 Bronco that was behind a 351M. I pulled another one out of the JY that was behind a 300 six and it's now behind a 460 with the 351M bellhousing in my Bronco. Same pattern. I'm sure the FE is the same way.
