E4OD Hard downshift from OD
I have a 92 f250. 5.8w/E4od. I’ve been tracking down some trans issues with this thing for a while now. I was having hard shifts and a few codes related to the solenoids and VSS. So far I have replaced the solenoid pack and plug, fluid and filter in the trans, ECM, MLPS, TPS, MAP, VSS. Swapped out the PSOM with a refurbished one, then got my old one back repaired and reinstalled. So as now, codes are cleared(except for an EGR related one since I took it off. I still have a pretty firm 1-2 shift. The other up shifts feel fine. While in OD my downshift on coastdown at about 25 is harsh. With OD off it’s perfectly fine. That tells me it’s only harsh coming out of OD. Any ideas?
