90 f150 engine miss

This is a new engine, on initial fire up it has a bad miss on #3 and #7. I thought it was the injectors, but it wasnt. Checked for cross fire, not there either. New cap, rotor, plugs, wires. Timed @ 10btdc. It starts right up but wont idle, have to run at about 1000rpm to keep going. The question is : Could I be 180 deg off ? Im running out of ideas. Any suggestions out there? Thanks in advance.

What engine does your truck have ? Are all the electrical connections secure to things like the Tps & idle speed control ? I would think if you were 180 deg off youd have trouble starting the engine vs keeping it running .

90 f150 engine miss

This is an update to my first post. I've checked all my electrical connections, checked all my vacuum lines. I've done a compression test ( 145 - 150 all cylinders ). Fuel pressure is 40 psi. I've tested the module on the distributor, ok. I don't have a code reader, so I guess I take it somewhere to have a diagnosis done. Any suggestions out there? Thanks

disconnect your egr vaccume line and see if this clears it up. my 91 with a 351 wouldn't keep running on startup. Come to find out this is what it was.

Problem Solved!!!!! After pulling the distributor and resetting it 180 deg. This didn't solve the problem.:-( I had a miss on 4 cylinders. Putting it all together, mentally, I concluded I may have a car cam. So I thought, car 5.0's firing order is the same as a 5.7. What the heck I haven't tried that yet. Bingo,:-) smoothed right out. I pulled the negative battery terminal to reset any bad code storage. I had replaced the injectors with those out of a stang which are 19lb. Now the engine wants to die at idle or it lopes are idle, like it is searching for the right mixture. Other than that everything is Okay. Can I put in an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to solve the problem or do I have to put the 14 lb injectors back in? Thanks for the input.
