Just bought a 2020 F-350 Platinum two weeks ago and I've had it back at the dealer twice with only 1300 miles on it for my steering wheel being out of alignment. Both times they have adjusted the drag link which has only solved the problem for a couple of days.
Adaptive steering? A fault there will cause the steering wheel to misalign with the wheels. It most likely isn't a problem with the actual alignment. Even if you do a really poor job aligning a vehicle, the alignment doesn't change unless there is something broken, like a suspension bracket, or things weren't tightened. And if the vehicle tracks straight regardless of where the steering wheel is means the problem is in the wheel, not the suspension/steering.
I recall another thread with a similar problem, but I think his started after a lift. I don't recall if he ever updated the fix.
Its not uncommon for these trucks to come off the lot with the steering wheel slightly off center. Mine has been off to the right slighly since new. Some day Ill make the adjustment at the drag link. It shouldn't go out of adjustment without some pretty substantial abuse or failure somewhere. How far off center is it each time?
Pretty sure that a warning shows up when the adaptive steering issue happens.
