I recently bought a 1996 F150 Eddie Bauer four-wheel-drive standard cab truck. The truck had sat in a barn lot for about two years. We found some mouse chewed on wires which we think we got them all fixed not sure. We had a new starter a new coil new plugs and wires however the truck will turn over but we’re not getting any spark. Also when you turn the key on radio comes on the lights come on what not but when you try to start it with the key you get nothing out of the starter. Looking for some direction to go next
You say nothing out of the starter but you also say no spark.
Are you saying it will crank or that the engine will not crank when you turn the key?
If it is cranking and have no spark have you checked for power at the Ignition coil with the key in the run position with a ice pick loading test light?

kicks in. If I turn the key to start the engine I get nothing
if I jump the engine at the Solenoid I get no spark but does turn over
I put a test light on the red wire going into the coil with the key on. It was hot Crank it over on the solenoid no juice at the prong where the coil wire to the distribution connects
I did notice this morning a ground strap between the body and the frame behind the right front wheel broke off in my hand when I tugged it to see if it was right ?
