Angry 2002 explorer transmission fluid

I accidentally dropped the trans fluid plug on my father-in-laws 2002 explorer and lost some of the fuid (don't ask...long story).
How can I add that fluid back in??? There is no dipstick tube to go back through, so how would I go about it?

Thanks

pat

Sealed trans.

Your kind of screwed. I have read that that has the allen plug in the center of the drainplug and fluid can be pumped back in. Most places flush the trans fluid inline with the cooler lines and that is how they can pump fluid in place of the old.

Never

Work on a fater-in-laws car. There is no upside. Never done it but believe you will find the drain plug assembly is two piece. One part drains it completely and the other is the fill tube that determines level. With the car LEVEL, rig up this fill tube to a hose that goes higher than the transmission and connect to a funnel. Overfill the transmission a little. When the hose is removed, the excess will drain out. Correct level is the top of the tube. Remember, Form Follows Function. Otherwise, tow it.

There is the drain plug on the bottom. Are you talking about the two plugs on the side of the tranny? (one on top of another?)
