I have 21,000 miles on the 2019 Lariat Sport, according to my tracking, about 5800 miles of that is towing. My travel trailer weighs about 5500 lbs fully loaded. Barely know it's back there, from a stability standpoint. I have the 6.2 gasser, been a great engine for my needs.
Finally hooked up to some weight the last 3 days.
No doubt, from a stability standpoint, it towed well. This excavator/trailer combo was about 11k pounds. Also used the trailer for 3.5 yards of 3/4 minus crushed rock (heavier) and a good-sized wheeled bobcat, heavier yet.
Power? uggh.....that's a lot of weight. I got up to 50 mph on the country road, but not very quickly. A diesel absolutely positively would have been the better towing machine.
For 3 days in a year towing 10K plus, and over 5,000 miles towing 5500 lbs, this has been a great truck/engine combo.
My ONLY regret was not getting the 4:30 rear-end when I ordered.
Well, I do have one more regret, and that's not waiting until now and ordering the same Sport, in the 7.3 gasser, and including the LED headlights.
