Anyone have a solid description of the parts needed to mount the core support to the frame (bolt/bushing/washer, etc. )?
I have 3 new "kits", each one different. Some have 4 rubber spacers, some have 6, some thick, some thin, and so on...
What would really help me is to know exactly what was used by Ford, and the order that the pieces go. I think that's the only way I'll get the bodywork to line up correctly.
Ford had only 1 upper and 1 lower rubber insulator. So I don't think how Ford did it would help you. Sounds like those kits are universal. Keep adding more rubber spacers until metal aligns up. I would start loosly with the thick one. Keep adding more spacers until everything looks good. Then put the bolt through and the not so thick one under the core support. Tighten and check your gaps.
