so I just got my order in and almost finished hooking them up.
I went with the stock starter lug design a 90°, even though i do have a denso starter which he sells a straight lug for. I chose the stock design because the OEM cable with the 90° lug has no issue hooking up to the denso, and when I'm in BFE I can grab a parts store unit in case mine ever fails.
Well the larger cable design of custom battery cables will not allow me to set the starter lug down on the starter. I tried hooking the cable to the starter and installing the starter, and just trying to hook the cable up while the starter is installed. Not happening.
My question is before i go get a parts store starter is...I'm wondering if there are copper lugs made that have a female shaft I could thread onto the starter bolt. Then it bends to a 90 which would have a male bolt end on the other side? The female side would have to be 10.5 metric.
If anyone else could think of a fastner that could make this work. I'm all ears. I know my request is far fetched and I'm pretty sure its the beer talking at this point.
Thank you. Was thinking about changing mine out, I have seen this before and thought I saved it but didn't.
Very high quality cables. The thing i like the best about them is the military terminal, if corrosion and age crack the terminal simply buy another and bolt it up.
