i got a 9000 mile marker mounted on my 92 f-150, i just used a reese style hitch in front mounted to the frame and then mount the winch channel to an upside down 8 inch drop reciever.
youre laughing then you can take it on and off. just dont skimp on a good pin with a lock. for the cables you can get heavy duty welding quick disconnects, and then hook your winch front or back
that way when you get stuck and the only tree is behind you, you still got a chance.
Sounds like you've got a good setup there.
I always thought that a winch on the back was a good idea so you dont have to drag yourself further into the hole you're trying to get out of.
