I recently got a 69 f-350 manual 4 speed. the drive gear for the speedometer (inside the tranny) is missing. When I went to LMCtruck to see about ordering a replacement, they wanted to know "how many teeth" the choices were 16-21. so without having the old one to compare it to, how do I know which is the correct one for me?

There are websites online that will calculate it out for you. Because it is a manual speedometer you can change your gear to make adjustments for different tires or gear ratios. More than likely you've got a 7 tooth drive gear, this is the one that is in the back of the transmission.
