Rear end help
I have a 94 ford f 150 4x4 5.8 355 gears. When I let off the gas sometimes I have a clonk in the rear end.sometimes when I turn hard it growls a little. How hard would it be to replace the bearings? It’s not the joints just a FYI.

Not for sure at this rear end.....but the axels have to come out to replace rear bearings....
have to open the pumpkin and take out some clips of the axles to let them slide out.
check your yoke play and seal too. Replace the axle seals if they dont come in a bearing kit...
might as well do your brakes while yer there....

That depends on your skill level. It sounds like it could be the pinion bearings. As mentioned, the carrier and (lower) pinion bearings are pressed on. Do you have torque wrenches to reassemble everything?
