Question Replacement front end bushings

I have an 80 f150 new hi lift coils from J.C. Whitney. the coils, allignment , ride and all are fine.

What I need to know is where I can get replacement rubber bushings that go under the coils. the coil wire dia. is almost the same as stock but the origonals are so crushed that I have about 1/4" play between the hold-down washer and the spring which allows the spring to pop and bang when fron suspension is at full travel. does anyone know where I can get these cushions at???

Also am going to replace all of the rubber bushings in the front end ( radius arm, axle pivot and cab mount) what are the pros and cons of rubber VS. poly bushings???

In my opinion poly bushings are the only way to go. The truck handles way better and the poly will easily outlast the rubber.
As for your rubber cushions, I used a couple of pieces of old conveyor belt on my old 81 truck. Seems to be fine.

Mine weren't that bad when I put new springs in last weekend. I just flipped them over and used the other side. It won't affect the handling of the vehicle at all. I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the opinion on the poly bushings...

When I say that the spring pads are crushed I don't mean that they were just a little crushed. I mean that they are litteraly paper thin. if they were any thinner they would only have one side. I thought about using a piece of scrap rubber, ( stall mat, tire tread) but this is my primary work truck and I would feel more comfortable if I could get a Quality aftermarket replacement bushing for it. I tried to get one from ford but the guy at the local ford store laughrd at me when he tried to look it up. the computer said that the part had been discontinued by ford back in the early 90's. ....
