Cab is almost ready to come off the frame. Need to remove the gear shifter out next. It's been mentioned in an early post that the cap on top of the housing could be pushed down and twisted slightly to release the lever. However, i think my manual drawing shows four bolts holding down the shift lever housing. Not a twist cap. After removing the bolts i think the lever assembly lifts out. Will the spring seat and spring stay in, or come out with the lever?
It doesn't look like that trans has the push down cap . I believe you could take the bolts out but you can also drive the roll pin out that is in the hole that is visible in your pic .
