F850 Super Duty

F850 Super Duty
Hi, I'm thinking seriously about buying the /62 F850 Super Duty you see in the photo. I would like to know where I could but the Chrome Windshield Insert and corresponding Rubber, a white steering wheel - either 3 or 4 spoke -, Custom Cab emblems and such. In other words, a good parts source for Big Job and Super Duties.
See on this /62 the F-850 Super Duty and FORD are all on the one emblem, others have the words Super Duty separate from the FORD F-850 emblem and have Air Scoops in the hoods, but these seem to be on what looks to be say /64 and above.
Any and all help in sourcing parts and trivia will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Almost sure custom cab emblems and windshield rubber and stainless same as all F series most venders have those. Gas jobs had one hood scoop Diesels had two.
Fiber glass hood scoops are available and nobody would ever know the difference, we
bought one for like a $100 unlike some on ebay for $1200? remember they go on the
hood backwards because back then snow plowing when the snow from the plow clogged them and stalled the engine air flow, like on earlier trucks, many complaints so the 1961's & up were mounted backwards. Next big complaint was the roof. Most
of these had Bostrom air seats and your head got smacked going over a bump. So I
think 1968 or 69 the roof was raised up. but that is 50yrs ago & now cobwebs in the brain......LOL

Interesting nostalgia big job. Always wondered about the scoop direction. The roof was first raised in '64 for all series. In mid '65, the roof was raised even higher for the larger series. The F 850 is a super duty powered F 800, GVW in the 25-27K range and usually fitted with the smallest super duty, the 401. Some interior and exterior parts are interchangeable with pickups and are reproduced, other parts you'll need to be patient, and search ebay constantly. Be warned , engine parts and brake parts are difficult to find on a vehicle in this weight range and vintage.

Thanks for the replies. Good info. I'll start checking the different vendors, search the internet and let my eyes wander when driving around. The stuff is out there, you've just gotta find it. I've already located a lot of goodies and a good high roofed cab.
About the roof heights, out of pure Covid boredom I was looking at photos on Pinterest the other day and came across an article; from /61 to /63, flat roofed pick up cabs on all. Sometime in /63 to end of series 1" raised roofs on all up to F700. From /65 to the end the F800's on up had the 3" raised roof. Re the 50 years and cobwebs, don't feel bad, it's not old age, it's like they say here in Peru in Spanish, "joventud accumulado" (accumulated youth). Sounds better.
