Cloth Sun Visor Repair Prevention

The cloth sun visors in my truck still look nice put are beginning to slightly come loose along the flat surfaces. Is there something that can be done to prevent having to have them reupholstered?

Have never seen anything, in 40 years, other than reupholster that lasts for very long.....and they were so
ridiculous I’ve forgotten them.
.....ya never know though.....someone may have figured it out. Did you “google” it?

The fabric on my '87 visors started pulling away last year. Now it's hanging loose in places and also tearing apart. Add to that the fiber board is warped on the drivers side.

This year the headliner started falling down, and is now starting to tear. Fabric is rotten from age and heat.

All I can find for replacement sunvisors are vinyl ones on e-bay.

Age is getting to the truck and me also. We're both wearing out and sagging.

I just bought the nicest set of vinyl ones I could find on eBay. I noticed that the edge of on of mine looks worn thin even though that area never gets touched. Guess I'll just hold onto them in case I decide to reupholster later when I have the headliner redone.

I did find NOS passenger vinyl ones but no driver side.

Did some quick looking around and didn't see anything besides reupholstering I thought would be worthwhile.

For $200 you can get new reproduction from Acme available for Lightnings at LMR. They also have a regular cab headliner kit for $390. I'm not sure if that company offers super cab kits or not.

BaBAM....there you go!-). 590 smackers. Plus tax n shipping. It’s more than I paid for my truck! Lol

Though yours is in better shape than mine, so, they will LOOK sweet. Itsalotalettuce!-)

Surprisingly, the interior is pretty clean. It’s blue with cloth visors. What color are you looking for?
