Lightbulb Vacuum Line Problems

Recently I have had a problem with the vacuum lines popping off when the engine is started. '91 FORD EXPLORER V6
Any ideas as to what may cause the problem, or how it can be fixed? )

yes i do...replace as many as you can with rubber fuel line...get it from autozone or mmaybe advance auto parts ..you can buy it by ther foot for like 50-90 cents a foot...if it still happens do what i did...use wire ties (zip ties) to hold them on...

Check the tubing at the vacuum tree for oil. One of those lines goes down to the vacuum modulator valve at the transmission. When the diaphram in that valve starts leaking ,oil gets into the vacuum lines and they pop off. The line going to the tranmission should be dry, if not, change the valve. It's on the passenger side of the transmission housing, behind the heat shield. best of luck.....mike

Thanks for the help. The cruise control vacuum line did have some unidentified liquid in it, and I know I have had problems with the transmisssion regulator module. Sounds as if that is the problem. Good diagnosis!!!!
