Guys need some advice. I’m looking at an early 90s cab for my 85 regular cab. I want to use my 80’s dash and and pretty much all of my interior and put into newer cab. What needs to be done to modify so the new cab can accept my dash and the pedals. It’s a manual with AC. And is there any thing else that will need to be fabricated or added? Thanks
This is not done that often, I can't remember what's involved. It sounds like a good plan, newer sheetmetal for a older truck. Hopefully someone will write in about the dash thing. There is something about the doors that is little different too, can't remember that either.
What is your plan with the VIN and the title? Your old truck will suddenly become a 90's truck. Swapping the tags is a little iffy, besides being illegal. Sometimes if you have the paper work for both vehicles they will generate a new VIN for you.
I’ll be calling the registry this week. I know there will be a difference in the fenders, wiring, pedals and interior. I’m hoping some one has some pics
