Funny story; we replaced one of our Town’s first responder trucks last year. Someone ordered new magnetic signs for the truck.
They worked on the old truck!
Yeah the fly by niters around here are having a hard time switching roofing signs to landscape signs, their starting to use the stick on hardware store letters, it appears they haven't learned the trick yet of running painters tape for aligning the bottom of the letters.
When Ford first started using aluminum in pickup trucks-Wasn’t there a period of time where only the bed was aluminum? Or the bed and hood?
Thx.
Not that I'm aware of. Chevy did the whole 'dip your toe' in approach by switching only the parts that were hinged to aluminum (doors, tailgate and hood). The rest of the Chevy body and box are steel. As far as I know, Ford made the switch and it was an 'all in' approach.
I heard from a 150 owner that the cab corners are plastic. Is this true? Kinda sounds like they are.
Isn't more of just a cover over the actual cab corner? For aesthetics purposes.
And didn't Ford use aluminum for F150 hoods back in the 90s? A buddy of mine had one s few years ago and if memory serves me, the hood corroded in spots like aluminum does.
