Inertia switch

Where would the inertia switch be on a 2018 E450, v-10 6.8 liter? I looked on the passenger side floor side panel oh, did not see it there. I've read somewhere where it might be behind the brake pedal but I cannot find it. Thank you in advance Jeff

It should be in the owners manual. You can download one here. https://www.fleet.ford.com/parts-ser...owner-manuals/

It's in there under "roadside emergencies" section. Apparently it's some sort of automated thing, you have a keyswitch sequence to get it going again.

Let me rephrase my topic..
I want to find the fuel inertia switch to splice a hidden toggle switch into the circuit either before or after the switch . This is my cheap anti theft on the truck
thank you

that will not work because there is no "switch" to reset. it is computer controlled.

So just breaking the circuit with a switch will not work? If I was after the inertia and closed the switch, why wouldn't everything be back to normal? Am I correct in saying it appears this year's model doesn't have the reset style red button inertia switch.?

What about just pulling the fuel pump fuse if it's easy to get to? Or the fuel pump relay.

I've pulled fp fuse numerous times. My fear is wearing out the prongs on the fuse, plus I have to pop hood get to fuse, remove, hopefully not misplace it. A hidden switch would easier. This is in a class c motorhome on the 450 frame. Sometimes mh sits for long periods.

if that is the case put the switch in the fuel pump fuse line to take power away from the pump.

That was another of my ideas. Would you happen to know the color code on the wire that feeds the fuel pump?
thank you

no idea. i do not mess with vehicle security modules after an abandoned 12 volt power wire from a removed two way radio in my 2014 F250 shorted out and it cost me $1400 to repair.

I looked in this link, but can only find places to tap off to power stuff, not to cut anything off. I will leave this link in case you are interested. It's at the bottom of the document.

Have you ever considered one of these disconnects of some type?
