That’s a convenient place to grab a ground too. From there you can tuck and zip-tie over to the console. Access is easy enough to drill a hole and have your wires emerge just about anywhere you want.

Just for a thought, I used an upfitter lead to power a fuse strip on the driver's side to power a few items I wanted on while driving. It works very well and easy to change when I want to add another device.
