Cab interchange

Hey all! Last night during a severe storm a rather large oak tree took out my ol '83 F250 4X4 IDI that I keep in the river bottoms for a firewood hauler. Yeah, I know, it got loaded. 🙄
My question would be, will the cab and front cap from a '94 F250 IDI bolt onto the '83 frame? Also the '94 is an auto, so will the pedal assy interchange if so?

I know it looks like the frame is bent, but actually the rusty cab gave instead.

No worries, that'll buff out!

Really, though the Bullnose to OBS trucks share the same frame, cab and bed. So, these can all be swapped... as long as a supercab goes on a supercab, etc. Hope you can get her fixed so you can haul wood again.

I'm not sure about the pedal assembly. I would guess, YES it will swap. A guru will post shortly to let you know if I'm lieing.

If that'll buff out, I want some of that buffer!
But seriously, I took a closer look at another F250 IDI that I've got, an '86. Besides rusty rear cab corners it's in decent shape and has a useable bed.
The one thing the '94 has going for it is it has great air conditioning, but that truck has a tool bed on it.

go with the 86 cab. the 94 will work, but you will have to find a 92-97 pedal assembly.

or do some fancy fabricating.

Thanks for the offer, but this is just an old woods truck so I'm going to use what I have.

Really sorry to see that.. thankfully it wasn't your daily driver or anything. Nice tires btw!

The 92+ columns and pedal assemblies are definitely different. Maybe you'll have decent luck at a local salvage yard

Yeah, I was looking at that '94 cab yesterday and noticed the dash and column is different.

Tires are 13/38 Super Swampers that I picked up used a few years ago. Wish I could find another set for my Jeep at the price I paid for these.
It'll be late July to mid August before I can get the truck out of here and I plan to use the '86 body I picked up at an auction several years ago for $140. A little rusty, but it's just a woods truck.

If it will move still you should give it one last victory lap around your property😁

Still starts and drives. I'll have to drive it 3 miles out of the river bottoms to the gravel road before I trailer it to my other place.

your link "it runs and even moves" in your signature no longer works.

Wow, I forgot that was even in my signature, haven't been on the full site in years and sig. doesn't show up on phone. Actually that refered to my '53 F100 that I've been driving for 12 years.
