Just wanted to say hello. Picked up a new 2020 Tremor package. Ford likes to keep adding packages because they know what I like. Has the Sport Appearance package...(cool blacked out logos and grill), tremor package, and Ultimate package.
Items done so far;
- Stripped the tremor stickers off rear (Ugly)
- Limo tint every window + 35% on front window
- Need to remove ugly front tag bracket (Already done...not needed in FL)
- Ordered Back Flip tonneau cover
Considering: Need to speak to some people on this forum.
- I have always been a aftermarket wheel guy. May switch to 20's or 22" on 35" tires. I would like 37" tires but tired of always loosing performance for larger tire size.
- May have to lower the rear to fix the rake. I haven't decided yet but watched a couple of folks on this forum.
- Probably going to pull the rock guard steps because my 4'11" girl is having a hard time leaping into the truck already (Considering power stepXL)
Beautiful, that sport package look is what i want for my XLT and im trying to find a way to do that without bending over lol. The blacked out grill is just amazing! great truck!

So I have had companies come out and plasti dip the items. They don’t have to remove them and they spray them on sight at your house. Super cheap and actually last. I did my last truck and a bmw before. Don’t think I paid more than a couple $100. Might be an option...
Great looking truck, Tremor and Sport is the only way to go imo. I gotta ask, since you are and plan to make so many changes, why the Tremor package instead of just the Lariat Sport?

I'm glad someone asked this. I think it all the time when I see these posts. I get wanting to customize your ride and make it yours but to me it just screams "I bought a tremor and then just almost removed everything tremor related".

Your Tremor is very nice. And I agree the combination of the Lariat Sport and Tremor is the best Ford has offered in a while.
I went through the vacillation between ordering the Tremor with Lariat Sport or just getting the Lariat Sport and adding my own upgrades. I ended up doing the later. Here is where I am price wise:
Tremor Valence $100
Wheels/Tires $3,300
Carli Commuter 3.5" $2,300
Amp Boards $1,500
Sold Factory Boards ($500)
Sold Factory Wheels/Tires ($1,200)
Painted Roush Flares $1,000
Total - $6,500
Depending on your end goal the Tremor may not be that bad of price. When done, I will have a truck I like but will still be lacking the Tremor front differential
I know what you guys are saying. I did the same thing other than I like the Tremor stickers so mine stayed. New rims, tires, etc. I guess we paid $4k for a fancy front differential which no one actually knows how good or bad it is and nice running boards. Not the best financial decision I've ever made but probably not the worst either.

I penciled out buying a regular sport and upgrading it vs the getting a Tremor + Sport. A good small lift all around (2.5”) is not cheap ~$2400+. Going that route you can get better shocks than the Tremor offers but the Tremors shocks are supposed to be a slight upgrade over standard (upgrade to 2” shock vs 1.75” I believe). Factor in swapping out the front diff to a true track ~$500 and ~$1000 for painted flairs. At ~$3900 total before swapping out wheels and tires the extra $3405 doesn’t seem like a bad deal (there is a $570 discount when getting both Tremor and Sport packages). I can see how many are still opting for the Tremor package and modding it to their liking vs just omitting the Tremor and doing more mods.

So my answer to the question was based on me keeping the truck somewhat stock, but then I got on this forum an draw all the customization. LOL
I did buy the truck from Brandon Ford which is over this way in Tampa, FL. Little did I know they are the largest Ford dealership I believe in the world. The have so many damn Fords there that I don't even think they know their inventory. I found this truck online and drove over. The truck was within 2k of the same decked out truck with just the Sport Appearance package. It made no sense to me either but I asked and the answer which makes sense is it has to do with how many days it sits on the lot. Hence the two exact same spec'd trucks but one has been sitting on the lot was like 4K cheaper. With all the incentives and the discounts, which is rare for Super Duty's I jumped on the tremor. Looking back (1 day ago....lol) I was about to pull the trigger on the sport appearance package but the tremor just made sense financially.
That was my reason...and no wI am considering lifting from to level with rear and add 37" tires. Hopefully not to many mods after that.
