Edge Gas Evolution CTS2
Hi Guys Just wanted to share. I have a 2010 Lariat Super cab with the 5.4 V8.. It had 117 on it when I bought it and I had to replace #7 and # 8 coil packs.. This is suppose to be newest block design of Triton and was to fix a lot of things. But What lead me to buy the CTS was I could feel it shift and had some throttle lag. So I decided to put a programmer on it. Well I'm glad I did . This version allowed me to program Economy, Towing and ex-stream programming modes. I'm currently running eco mode and can honestly say I see great improvements the first day. I literally had to take my foot out of the pedal going to work the next morning because the truck so smoothly glided up to 70 MPH that I had not noticed it.. I now have to take it easier on the pedal. I can say that after running it for a week I've noted a Hp/torque gain and about 2 MPG increase
Not to mention all the things I can monitor with it.Abs Throttle Position, Air Fuel Ratio, Barometric Pressure, Battery Voltage, Desired Idle RPM, Engine Coolant Temp, Engine Load, Engine RPM, Fuel Level, Gear with TCL, Intake Air Temp, Loop Status, Manifold Abs Pressure, Mass Air Flow, Mileage Coach, MPG Instant, MPG Average, Oil Life Remaining, Output Shaft Speed, Power Enrichment, Spark Timing, Time 0-60, Time 1/4 mile, Trans Temp, Vehicle Speed, Extra Camera input and remote switches
I'm impressed with it and thought I would pass this on to anyone wanting to know if it was worth the 400 I spent on it.. I would have to give it 5 stars.. I'm not planing on trying the ex stream mode as you have to use high Octane gas nor do I need to burn rubber but have read reviews that this thing will do it. I'm a daily driver and love my truck so I gave a bit of pep without hurting any major components. haven't towed anything yet so I'll have to wait on that program mode. Yes I can flip between the 3 anytime.
My next purchase for it will be the EAS power switch to control lighting on it's touch screen without having to drill holes in my dash for switches.
