@#$& Valve stems

Rant to follow.
So.. How in the #&$@ does the engineering dept at Fomoco send out a $60000 f350 drw... With valve stems that all but non accessible?? I had to buy a special $27.00 air chuck /Guage to get air in the @&$# tires. The valve stems on my dually are about an inch long and pointed directly at the edge of the wheel cut out. And angled where you can't get a straight chuck or a reverse pull type chuck on either of them. So I'm now searching options but so far most of what I have found are not compatible with internal tpms. Rant over.

So your truck did not come with valve extenders ? You can get them at NAPA.

They are a bitch. But for $27 you got off easy. My setup cost almost 3x that. But it's easy now!

What's your set up?? It's not the money, I just think it could've been better from the factory.
Sorry guys, my valve stem rant just goes along with a series of stupid issues I've had.

That doesn't make any sense to me ether. I can't believe they nickel and dime these trucks then slap a ridiculous price on them and let the customer make it right. They make longer valve stems for DRW trucks. I don't think adding that to the cost of the truck will make owners buy the Chevy instead. Some of Fords ideas just plain suck, but you get used to it. LOL

The whole backstory that has me ranting and bitching about the valve stems.
2018 F350 drw with about 10000 miles on it.
When I bought it I noticed the valve stems and mentioned it to the sales rep. So he ordered some braided extensions and installed them. They didn't attach and basically just folded them so they would stay in the hole in the wheel. I thought that was pretty cheesy for such a nice truck but OK. I left it overnight so they could install them. I picked up the truck the next morning, when I got home I discovered a flat tire. Upon further inspection I found the nose end of needle nose pliars buried in the tire. Of course they denied any wrong doing and I had to go and purchase a $300 tire.
Then I picked up a vibration and went to a different dealership to have t it diagnosed.
Per the service writer as part of their steps to diagnose the vibration they put wheels and tires from a new f350 on the lot on my truck and drove it - still has a vibration. OK the vibration turned out to be a bad rear driveshaft so they ordered one and installed it and the vibration was gone.. Yay.
I get home after picking up the truck and noticed that one of the tires was flat. The end of one of the braided extentions was damaged. Now.. They're not long enough to reach the ground so I came to the conclusion that upon putting my wheels back on the tech tightened the wheels not realizing that the extension was caught between them. And that's why I'm ranting about valve stems.

Milton S-506 inflator gauge with the end swapped out for a Milton S-690-12 inflator. Milton says you can't put the S-690-12 on the inflator gauge, but you can and it works fantastic for the Ford setup. Looks like the price on the inflator gauge has come down some now on Amazon. I remember paying about 50 bucks for it alone. But WELL worth it!

Thanks, but yeah that end would never attach to the stem, on the rears anyway. I got something similar from O'Reillys. I'll see if I can get a link.
