I think this is a tread Diesel and Gas people can agree on, the 34 gallon fuel tank. Does Ford think these trucks don't pull and travel more than a few hundred miles? Why they can't design a 48-52 gallon tank for us is ridiculous.
You can get an aftermarket tank. Here's one: https://www.stage3motorsports.com/70...nk-55-Gal.html
Personally, I've only had one trip where my bladder outlasted my fuel. I had a 20' metal shipping container on my 24' gooseneck and it was about 12'hi. That was a miserable trip. 2400 miles round trip @ 6.8 MPG average.
After checking all the aftermarket options along with reading all the great information from this forum, I am going with a S&B 60 Gallon tank for my ‘20 CCSB 6.7L.
My issue is the CCSB gas has plenty of room for a larger tank and Ford engineers didn't design the Long bed 48 gallon bolt in. It's a pet peeve for me that manufactures build a part to solve one problem.
I never had a problem with the stock tank in my 17 CCSB. Seemed like a good break from the road on long trips. I do love the 48gal tank in the F450 though - puts a smile on my face to see the 670mi until empty after a fill up.
I'm not sure if Ford has fixed the DTE caluclations that my early 2017 build had, along with many others on here. The truck thought I was out of gas with 5 gallons left, so it seemed like a 29 gallon tank to me. It's also frustrating that Ford went the wrong direction with the 2017's when my 2016 ccsb had a 35 gallon.
Even though my 02 can carry 130 gallons of diesel, I am pulling over between 300-400 miles anyway to take a break and use the bathroom. The 19 shows around 770 miles to empty on a full tank so I have no plan to add more fuel to that one.
