I don't think I've ever seen a Studee panel before. Is it real, or a different brand back half with the 'baker nose grafted on? Do you know?

The owner said it was a “m 5” if I remember correctly grafted onto a Chevy or dodge back half. Studebakers were such a cool looking truck with their rounded bodies.
It's hard to tell from that angle, and from all the custom work done if the panel body is Dodge or Chev. My first instinct was Dodge because they're a little more square in the back, but it's hard to say.
Some might consider the Studebaker M5 a bit awkward looking, but they do make a very cool custom COE...
It's amazing how fast motoring changed in the early days. The Model N is about 35 years old in the top picture. Here's what 35 years ago looks like now. I'd drive any of these today. Probably not so much the Model N, even in 1940.
