6.6 inline Brazilian built

I have a 6.6 inline Brazilian built diesel from the 80s should I try to get it running again and put it in a truck

The 6.6 and 7.8 are decent engines but parts availability is scarce. These engines don't fit in a pickup truck.

A friend of mine has a rebuilt 6.6 in an old Ford/Blue Bird school bus. We use it for tailgating at college football games. It works ok but it's no powerhouse. 64mph wide open going down the interstate with a big cooler of beer and 10-15 people on board.

If you're not afraid of making a new firewall and half the floorboard, it can fit in a pickup. As mentioned above, they are kinda weak in stock form. Some pump work and a better turbo will really wake it up. Some parts are getting harder to find, but make friends with a NewHolland tractor dealer. Even Agkits has a lot of parts still.
