Auto 4x4 problems
Wont go into 4x4...whats wrong...
the front drive shaft spins, and so do the U joints at the wheel, but teh wheels dont budge. Im guessing that its the hubs not locking in, but why?

well I speak from experience. Never go with Automatic hubs. They are the weakest and quikest to mess up. I have replaced the automatic with manual and I don't believe I will ever go back. Also if there is to much grease in the auto hub it will not work

On my 96 with the stock crappy auto hubs the tire had to turn some before the hubs would lock. It was a total PITA. I got stuck in the snow and it took me forever to get it to move enough to get them to lock. Also every time you change direction they unlock and re-lock causing shock to the drivetrain if you're spinning and the possibility of getting stuck again if you're moving real slow and could spin out when the front unlocks.
I would buy Warn's in a hot second if I still had those.
