Hello FTE: I've just acquired a 72 E-100. I'm returning to my roots as my first vehicle was a 72 E-100 I bought in '79. The ownership has this VIN on it: E14AHP93686 and it states it's a 1972. The doors have been changed and the current driver's door has a VIN E35GHV09217. Where else on the van could I look for confirmation that my registration information matches the actual van? Looking forward to redoing this beast. Thanks in advance for any info. 1972 E-100 240 3sp.man
Hello FTE: I've just acquired a 72 E-100. I'm returning to my roots as my first vehicle was a 72 E-100 I bought in '79.
The ownership has this VIN on it: E14AHP93686 and it states it's a 1972. E14 = E100 Regular Van // A = 240 1V I-6 // H = Lorain OH Assembly Plant // P93686 = 1972
The doors have been changed and the current drivers door Warranty Plate VIN: E35GHV09217
E35 = E300 Regular Van // G = 302 2V // H = Lorain OH Assembly Plant // V09217 = 1974.
I don't know where the hidden VIN is located on 1961/74 Econolines.
Thank you so much for the info. I'm sure I'll be on here many times as I'm going through the issues that come up with the van. I appreciate having this forum. Thanks again.
