The old mule sits all winter and has been reliable every year for hauling water, until this year. It started jerking and no power until no go at all. Fuel puddle was under the truck so I'll try to figure it out tomorrow. I had to take all the stuff out of the back of the OX (hitch etc.) and moved the water container over so I could get some water. Took my tow dolley to go and get the mule. The mule is defiantly to big for the tow dolley but I made it to our place.
Hi Aaron. I knew it would happen sooner or later because of the length of time it sits, no good. What wasn't ideal was I had to jack up the whole front of the mule to get the tow dolley under it, no fun. Yes, its got efuel, first one Swamps made for a OBS. Just arm chairing it I think a fuel line broke and pumped out so much fuel the filter ran dry, then it would not prime after getting five gallons for each tank. That's a big guess and I hope I have time tomorrow to set everything up here for an extended stay. Hope the VW Beetle runs, same story it sits way to much!!
My guess above was half right. I pulled the filter and it was dry except for WATER in the bottom. Filled it up and put it back on and the pump took off and I could hear air bubbles go thru. When it hit 65psi it started up and ran fine. After a short drive I checked and no water in the water separator filter. The really strange part is I sprayed down the return line and feed fuel line with brake cleaner using almost a whole can to clean up the mess so I could find the fuel leak, there wasn't any!!! Maybe I'm getting to old to think right but to me a puddle of fuel on the side of the road is a puddle of fuel. Until I find it I will not feel that its reliable.
