What is useful

I work for a tow company and they brought in an 08 F250 5.4 Larat Supercab and an 02 F350 6.8 Larat Quadcab. Before they go to the crusher I think I might pillage them. I have an 02 F250 XLT Supercab. My question for the great and awesome community is, what is worth taking off them?

And before anyone ask, unfortunately I can't take parts to sell or give away. If they weren't, what California calls, Junk Slip cars I would buy them and part them out but I would get in a ton of trouble from my employer. Last guy got fired and is now shunned by the towing community in my area.

An extra V10 would be nice to play with.

Already had my eye on it, 308K on my truck I was thinking to rebuild it with a few upgrades. Be fun to punch it to fit the 93.5 mm pistons but I don't see that being possible. But I will clean it up and give it some breathing space, cam and over side valves. I'll be doing a suggestion post on upgrades to do.

All things being equal: if it's yours to play with, tinker, mod for "your truck".
- Fuel tank & all straps/bolts, hoses
- Radiator, over flow tank, PS parts, master cylinder assembly
- calipers, pads & rotors, drive shafts, transfer case
- Interior padding/insulation, Door seals, any of the wiring harness & most importantly the connectors for this or that - that hasn't already been butchered off the truck, door inner workings, solenoids, switches, locks & keys
And save every nut or bolt you come across & leave 1/3-1/2 all lug nuts on the trucks

He k if you had access to 4 steelies that had air in them get those OEM rims & tires *IF they are free of roadrash*

All this is to say, nothing wrong with having spare parts and being able to tweak something off the truck and see if it's gonna workout without having to drive around with a disassembled truck for weeks while the tweak gets put on the back burner.
And if that rummor Mill is solid and the fuel tank doesn't survive the tweaking, then hold it aside and wait for the next round of crusher bound trucks and bring this one back that the tweak failed with and swap it for the latest trucks tank and parts......

Oh BTW how much fuels in the tanks?
