cold start problem

cold start problem

I have an 86 F150 with a fuel injected 302. On a cold start it fires off ok but will not go up to a high idle . It just dies unless i give it gas. Ater it warm up it idles fine.

Someone adjusted the idle stop screw? - your not supposed to do that....

I am going to check the TPS tomarrow and the idle stop screw has not been adjusted. Also have allready changed out the coolent temp sensor and cleaned the air bypass valve.

Jack, I'm having the same problem, If you find a solution please post it.However I'am getting a code 67(pull your codes c what you get)

Found the problem

I tested the MAP sensor and found it was out of range, not by much but enough to make it not to run when it was a cold start.
All is well with a truck that has 164,000 miles on it and still going.
