Currently own 1997 Ford F-350 7.3L Crewcab with 169k miles. Unfortunately it’s a project considering previous owners had added their own touch. But moving forward, my problem now falls on the fact she is only getting 9 miles to the gallon. Thought and researched quite a few options but I was curious as to what everyone thinks could be the issue if there is one, how to fix said issue or any other options.

Good looking truck
As far as MPG it all depends on how you drive, I have same truck as yours exception of mine being 2wd, mine has 3.55,
305-55/20 tire/wheel set-up, auto and calibrated PSOM, I normally get 15 mpg highway driving like a teen and 11-12 in city only also driving like a teen, if I drive like gramps I can get 17.5 highway doing 65mph, and 13-14 city also driving like gramps.
Hope this helps.
