Absolutely...... not knowing the complete story... it seems that the shop don't know what they are doing and the owner doesn't know enough to question why the engine must be replaced due to a Check engine Light (Codes) .... the Reporter obviously doesn't know any better either, because I'm sure those questions should have been asked...
Scamming IMHO is what is going on here.... BUT then again if the fuel system gernaded maybe swapping a ready to run engine might be cheaper than a repair... I can't say for sure .. I only know what I read
