Hey Guys, I have an offer on a 93 F350 Regular Cab...5-speed 460, guy is asking 10k. The Frame is solid as a rock (no rust) and the interior is in great shape...but there are 187,000 miles on the truck. I really like the truck, I thought the 10k asking price was bit high, but I was reminded that this particular truck is increasingly rare...do you think that is the case? Admittedly I have not seen many like this one. What say you?
Rare and not popular are probably synonymous in this instance. Rare would mean it should increase in value with time. Think it will? Do you have a need for that configuration? If both answers are NO, I would pass. If you just like it and want it that is different. With all that is going on in the country now I am betting these kind of prices are going to drop drastically soon if the seller needs the money. I'm looking online every day for a minor fix up flipper. Ten grand cash is going to rule as king soon IMHO. The sellers position is paramount in getting a deal if you want it. Think he needs money? Make a low ball offer. All he can do is say no. Patience is key when buying for wanting and not needing. Sandy. ..... PS the truck in my sig cost me about half of the 350 asking price.
That guy is out of his mind. The regular cab format is uncommon now because very few people want it, the 460 is woefully underpowered for the amount of fuel it consumes, and the number of people that know how to drive a manual trans is shrinking by the minute. This is a truck that would get it's *** spanked in a drag race with a current 4cyl Ranger and be out towed by an F150 ecoboost. If you look up "rides like a tank" in the dictionary you will see a picture of this truck, it's not 4wd or even a low milage leftover it is worn out by most standards. It is however a proper work truck but that should come at a proper work truck price which is no more than half his asking price... IMO.

naw, guy is out of his feebleaz mind with that price
Yea that's what i thought as well...but I have seen these prices pretty consistent on Ebay over the last few months. It makes you wonder what some people are thinking.

the thing ya got to remember with fleabay is the asking price is not the selling price.
and the reason you see so many with super high price on fleabay is because there is always an idiot somewhere willing to pay that price.
as the guys said, realistic price for that rig is around 5 grand.
Right. There are just enough rich guys out there that know (think) what they and want and the funds to pay for it. If its really clean and 4x4 and they don't have to do any work to it, then why not.
I wouldn't pay more than $5k for the truck in OP.

In a word. Yup. Bang on.
Unless you just happen to love the truck and it is exactly what you have been looking for. Over priced.
I've had several single cab F350's in the OBS time frame. New and used so I too watch this market. The Powerstrokes seem to be popular and bring a premium but typically have 200-350k miles. I seem to see quite a few on facebook marketplace at decent to crazy prices. FLEA-BAY guys are nuts 25-59k is totally insane. I would say with the 460 you speak of is really at the end of it's life as well. (Head gaskets ect).
extra 0 in the price. i mean you can find them a dime a dozen in regular cab. alot are flat beds though and im not talking about the cc trucks. you could get a box delete f350 all day long back then. i see them daily for sell for nothing.
