I just bought this truck for a farm truck. It hasnt been used for a couple years. Had 2 tanks. Vin shows a 6cyl but had an 8cyl in it. I have done some research on getting it running. Emptying gas tanks. Change fluids. Needs steering box. No brakes. All easy fixes. If the motor is seized, what can I do to free it? Thanks

I watched my dad do this about thirty years ago! he pulled all the plugs and squirted atf in each cylinder and let it set for a few days and then tried turning it back and forth a little at a time. But he never even tried to turn it with the starter till he confirmed it was loose and could turn a full revolution.

I've used Marvel Mystery Oil before. Remove all the plugs, pour in the oil, be patient, and it will break loose. I've heard alot of success stories with ATF, and regular motor oil as well. The key is to be patient...you have to let it weep through.
