I have a 2014 f450 service truck and the other day out of nowhere it started taking a few seconds and then it would slam into reverse but 1-6 it shifts perfect. Thought it needed a transmission but when we dropped the oil pan there wasn't any metal or anything that would justify a transmission swap and the fluid still looked new, we have serviced it 3 times that I know of. It had a code for shift solenoid D, I can't remember the exact code. I talked to our local ford dealer and they said to replace the solenoid and you should be good. Talked to another one and they said to change the valve body, well we changed the valve body and had ford come out to our shop to reprogram the new valve body. Well after all that it still has the same problem of taking 3-4 second d before it goes into reverse but it doesn't shift in as hard. Should they have reset the shift points in the transmission? I'm lost on this one.

did you happen to figure out what was wrong with the truck? Having the same issues with me 2015 f350 at 90000 miles.
The problem wound up being the transmission control module. We replaced it and had Ford reprogram it and it worked great. I got out of that truck about this time last year so I don't know how its doing now.

If you replace your transmission control module yourself you should be able to get the as built data for your truck from Ford and program it yourself with Forscan. You can do a search for Forscan here and it will give you tons of information on what it can do and how you can get it.
So i was having intermite reverse issues every so often then the other day got P0717/p0715 Input/Turbine speed sensor A Circuit. I guessing it might have something to with the transmission sensor or the plugs on the PCM under hood going to pull PCM plugs and reconnect the then try to get to the one on the tranny see if i gan replace the sensor..2012 f250 6.7l 6r140
2012 f350. Last year, I fried the TCM, and it got stuck in 5th gear. took it to one shop and they put a valve body in it, and it didn't fix it, so I took it to another shop, and they put a TCM in it, and it fixed it, just shifts like **** now. Rained a bunch here, and I was driving in the mud, and it put the wrench icon on the screen, and now it slips when I put it in reverse, and it shifts hard when it catches. Hoping it's just some wet wires or gravel broke a sensor, don't want to have to put another new valve body or TCM in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
