Help Dome light in-op

Well this is going to be killer to find. I recently purchased a 99 SD, crew cab, powerstroke. Dome light (center light) would not function so I installed a new bulb. Still no light.

So I dropped the dome light only to find that a previous owner had cut? one of the wires that went to a small grey plastic covered metal piece at the end of the harness is gone. The screw from the dome light screws into this piece thereby making the connection.

Whew!

I cant find a salvage truck anywhere around (Arizona)

Anybody have any clue where I might find a part like this.

Anybody here from Ford or a wiring manufactuer.

Wild shot... but what the heck.

Thanks.

Go to a Ford dealer and get the part!
Or if that is the ground wire, just make your own ground to the bulb housing.

I haven't had one apart so I'm guessing alittle here.

Got a picture to put up !

The guy might have cut the wire because the dome light wouldn't go off ,this problem is either the dimmer sw. or door sw which is in the latching
mechanism in the door.

No luck with dealer

If I got through the dealer I have to buy the entire harness.
There are 45 different harness options to choose from.

I guess I'll have to keep looking for a totaled superduty that I can clip one of the connectors from.
