It is taking a lot longer than I thought to get the outside body rust cleaned up due to family, health and weather interruptions. I was going to start on the seat frame. I have removed it and revealed the rusted frame pictured below. The question is 'is this worth cleaning up or should I junk it and get a new frame. Some springs were fixed before but all now work but seem to me to be kinda weak. What do those the have seen this rusted a seat done? Les
...you may not have much of an option if you can't find another one. That should clean up pretty well with sand or soda blasting. Meanwhile see what you can find and that will give you your answer for sure...
I haven't been able to locate many pictures of cabs with the step with newer seats and I was wondering about the room to close the doors with newer seats that measure about 2 inches wider. Do any of you have the step cabs with the newer seats? From searching it looks like by changing out the mounting tracks you can install newer seats but what about clearance? Thanks for the help with this. Les
