I have a 1951 F1 that really isn't get much use or driven much. Has flathead V8, California truck (no rust), paint is in good shape as is wood bed. Box has been mostly replaced but front is original. Nice interior. Was originally a Air Force truck for about 9 years then released to civilian life. Rear end is low geared so it'll go 45mph all day long. I have had some interest in buying the truck but to be honest am having a hard time getting a good idea of price. Can anybody help me? I've checked Craigslist, ebay, Hemmings, etc and pricing is all over the map. Thanks in advance, I will try to post a pic or two to give an idea of what it looks like.
Reason for selling at this point is we now have three kids in college (yikes).

Beautiful solid looking truck. I'm sure someone with a Union 76 gas station would be interested. As for value, it's really what a willing buyer will pay for it.
This could give you an idea depending on actual condition. https://www.hemmings.com/cars-for-sale/ford/f1/1951
Thanks, I hadn't thought about Union 76. lol Maybe I need to put one of those 76 styrofoam ***** I remember as a kid on the antenna (no antenna though). Thanks for the reply.
Getting a bead on pricing isn't a science as there are many variables. Some of the ask prices in the Hemmings ads will never be met - you will not know which ones. My suggestion is to pick a number between 20 and 25 K with the expectation of accepting less. The level of response should guide you. The turbulence underway in the world is not a plus. Best of luck with the task.
If you go on e-bay and check the "sold" box, you will see that our old trucks just aren't bringing much today. But don't feel bad. A lot of old iron is getting less than they have in the past. Just the nature of the beast.
Thanks for all the info. The suggestion of a initial asking price is pretty much where I was thinking with the understanding of coming down on price if needed.

Actually the whole collector car market is a bit off. With this COVID-19 "disturbance in the force" who knows when things will come back. Certainly I think that the stock market will need to get back near it's month-ago levels and the unemployment rate get back down below 4-5%.
That is a very nice looking truck. I agree with Bob, it might be interesting with a Unions 76 decal on both doors.
