Unhappy Firing order

What is the firing order for a 1977 Ford 389 V8?

You may want to post this question in the "FE" forum. BTW the displacement may be 389 ci, but most people call them a 390.

Ford didn't make a 390 in 1977. Which engine do you have again?

Maybe it is a Lima (385 series) motor?

It's probably an FT motor. They were refered to both by 389 and 391. I think they were made up until 1978. What's it in? If it's a big truck, it's probably the FT. But it doesnt make a difference, the firing order is the same.

The firing order is 15426378. The right side cylinders are 1,2,3, and 4, with 1 being at the front. The left are 5,6,7, and 8, with 5 at the front. The left and right designations are sitting in the driver seat. All this information should be cast into the intake manifold also.

Hope this helps!
