Just recently purchased a brand new '03 F150 Reg cab/shortbed with a 4.2L, manual tranny and 3.55 rearend:
I've already dropped in a K&N and was wondering what kind of 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers these trucks make... I don't look to win a bunch of races (I've got the Cobra for that), but my brother has a '01 Pathfinder with the 3.5L/auto and he's talking smack...
Thanks, in advance, for any insight you all may share.
P.S. Here's the snake (the F150 replaced the old Dodge, in the background...)
Man, you should have bought the lightning if you want to go drag racing. Nothing wrong with the 4.2 / 5 speed but you won't win any races with that thing.

Do you have any times on the car??
Thank you.
My car has a 9" open cone filter and a Flowmaster catback as the only modifications (dyno at 5,600 miles on the odo). Stock pulley, stock computer, stock cats...apparently they are severely underrated from the factory . It made 367 RWHP stock with a K&N drop-in at 1,100 miles.
I haven't been to the track yet (still less than 8,000 miles in one year), but my local SVTOA will be having a drag day late this month or early next, so I'm gonna give it a run in good air... I found this site from a link on SVTPerformance.com, and most of the guys there, with similar mods, are running mid 12s at 112 - 115 MPH... Add $500 for a stock Lightning pulley and chip and you're at ~460 RWHP and high 11s at nearly 120 MPH
