Wiring up heated seats, so I found a hot wire that is only hot when running and connected to gr/red wire on console switch and ran wires to the seats from yel/blu & gry/blu but nothing happens when I push button on console. Tried wiring hot straight to each seat wire and still nothing. I did run a ground for the blk/wh wire off of console switch also. Any ideas on what I need to do? t/u
What year Explorer are the seats from? Have you checked for continuity through the heating elements? Are the console switches from the same year Explorer?

The logic that controls the heated seat relays is apparently powered via the Gray/Orange wire at connector terminal 9, so you'll need that one powered as well for the switch to work. It appears you need power to terminals 3, 5, and 9 and ground on terminal 10 for the switch and relays to work. If you want the LED indicators to work you'll also need ground on terminal 6 as well.
You'll want to make sure the ground is good for the heating elements as well after you check for continuity through the heating elements. I say "continuity" but you probably want to instead check for ohms of resistance. I'm unsure how many ohms of resistance you should have through the elements, probably something less than 10 ohms. But the amount of resistance needed for a meter to beep continuity can vary from model to model.

T/u I was wondering about 6 & 9. Everything is working, just need to clear airbag light on dash. Have to make sure wires are connected under seat. Have to go back and look at plug diagram and try my scanner to clear before making appointment with Ford...
