Fender flares

I’m about to put some wheels that I love on my new 20 truck. Problem is they stick out of the wheel well about 3 inches. I’ve never used fender flares before, do you think they are necessary? Am I going to hate not having them when go through a puddle? Are there any that blend in to the truck? I’m also Worried the flare’s will Scratch the side of my truck where they touch. (If I take them off)

Rocks will eat the sides up unless your a pavement only person and flares at some point will get the paint as well.

They’ll probably scratch the sides of the truck. If you put them on, plan on keeping them on. When wheels stick out past the fenders they sling crap everywhere. The most annoying part to me is the mirrors stay dirty.
