Fuel pressure coming back?
I have an 87 f150 with a 4.9 efi. When i got the truck it ran like ****, misfires, etc. Ive put a bunch of random work into it and had it running pretty good. Never perfect, but good. The only remaining issue i had was a wild idle. I also noticed some fuel in the vaccuum tree so i figured the fuel pressure regulator was causing both. I replaced the regulator and the fuel filter while i was at it and it cleared the bad idle right up. Only problem is now it runs like **** again. Its back to hiccuping and misfiring. The only thing i can think of is that maybe i need to get it out and run it more to get the pressure back? Or....?

Being EFI it has a computer have you tried pulling the codes to see what it is telling is wrong?
It could be any number of sensors for the EFI system that could be out of adjustment or just plain failed.
